Stage 2. Rubbing Bars with Rubber Trees

Today was stage 2 and I had much better luck than day 1 thankfully. My legs weren't quite as good as day 1, but I'm sure tomorrow will be better. I rode a steady race and never really went too deep mostly because its kind of hard to in the heat and humidity. Today was much cooler than day 1 mostly due to a lot of cloud cover. The course was a really fun 4.7km's that resembled a World Cup pretty well. The climb was around 8 minutes and some pretty steep rocky sections that were pretty tough to ride after an afternoon drizzle. The descent was pretty steep and was pretty tight because of all the trees. A lot of the trees produce rubber so there are a lot of buckets filled with it on course. There were also a couple Euro chutes as well. It was really fun course and I'm pretty impressed with what they put together. In other news, Brady recovered from his 24hr bug and was able to start today. He had a bit of bad luck hit him when he got a vine stuck in his cassette and had to spend some time digging that out early on in the race. I think he's just faking all his misfortunes and is saving it for the last day, a short track, and will come annihilate it! Haha, just kidding I heard him blowing chunks throughout the night. I'm glad he's come around though!

Tomorrow, day 3, we have another XC race on tap. Hopefully I'll find myself in the money tomorrow. Sorry, no pictures.
